One of the major suppliers that we work with at Ravago Chemicals is Interpolymer, a subsidiary of Zschimmer & Schawrz. Since 1963, Interpolymer has been a key industry innovator in water-based polymers.
They are known worldwide for their comprehensive product line of cosmetic raw materials. Among their wide range of product ideas and creative formulation concepts are their SYNTRAN® 5778 and SYNTRAN® KL219CG which ensure the essential properties of lip make-up in the end product, such as transfer resistance, flexibility, wear resistance and comfort.
The water-based SYNTRAN® materials give liquid lip cosmetics additional transfer resistance. Unique film-forming combination that applies easily, dries quickly and evenly, is transfer resistant and water resistant. Washes off with rubbing using soap and water.
Transfer resistance before water resistance test: Evaluation of our formulation (middle) against benchmarks.
Water resistance test: Evaluation of our formulation (middle) against benchmarks.
Test conditions: Application on forearm. After drying, a tissue was pressed onto the formulations to evaluate
transfer of colour. The forearm was then placed under warm tap water and formulations were gently rubbed for
10 seconds. Interpolymer’s formulation in the middle was compared to two benchmarks.
